Due to some of the government contracts we have in place, we cannot post our prices on the internet. Although this makes it difficult to price shop, it allows us to give you today’s best rate instead of a static price posted months ago. Additionally, there are often discount opportunities available that will vary weekly. We operate on a cost plus percentage business model. The percentages we charge are sometimes less than 1% depending on the scanner.
Another added benefit of not posting prices is that you have to initiate contact to get a quote. That doesn’t sound like a benefit, but what typically happens is that this opens a dialogue to discuss your requirements and the customer usually winds up with a better solution than what they origianlly thought they needed. Providing this kind of help to our customers has resulted in more than 90% of our sales coming from repeat business or recommendations.
